About Lauren Young
Lauren started practicing yoga in 2006 while searching for a new hobby to occupy her time. She soon began to notice the benefits of giving herself the self-care her body, mind, and heart needed. She practiced physical asanas off and on over the years. In 2015, Lauren took a Child Yoga Teacher Training and her perspective got turned upside down. If only she knew about yoga as a child and the benefits it would have brought to her confidence, identity, self-regulation, and mental health. Lauren quickly knew she wanted to share this practice with others and began her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2016.
Since learning that yoga is more than shapes with your body, Lauren’s focus became creating a safe and supportive environment for her students while making the postures and breath accessible to everyone that walks into her classes. Lauren loves sharing yoga with those who “can’t do yoga” and those that want calm, clarity, and confidence in their life. Lauren is an RYT 200 and RCYT 95 with Yoga Alliance and has completed 30 hours of Accessible Yoga Training. Lauren has two young children and enjoys their chaos, stained glass art, audiobooks, podcasts, all things community, and houseplants and holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education with a specialty in Special Education.
