About Me - Lauren Young

Lauren discovered the practice of yoga in 2004 while living in Austin, TX.  She was looking for a new activity outside of work to help with anxiety and chronic pain. She enrolled in a small group beginner series, which was just what she needed to find her footing and love for yoga.  She noticed right away the benefit of breath that eased her anxiety, helped clear her mind, and organize her thoughts. Lauren practiced yoga off and on for the past fifteen years. It wasn’t until moving back to New Hampshire where the thought of teaching crossed her mind.  She was a special educator and found herself using yoga as a tool for self-regulation, confidence, and focus for her students. After researching, she signed up for a course teaching children’s yoga. Fast forward four years and she has taught yoga to babies through teenagers and adults of all ages and abilities! Her goal in teaching yoga is for everyone to feel their best during their practice.  She makes it her purpose to meet the needs of every student by using variations so all classes may be inclusive. All of her classes consist of breath work, asanas, guided imagery and meditation. Her favorite mantra is, “If you can breath, you can do yoga.”
